Meaning of Shiv Chalisa
Shiv Chalisa is a devotional hymn which is sung melodically in praise of Lord Shiva. It has 40 chaupis or verses and it is adapted from Shiva Purana. Recitation of Shiv Chalisa helps remove obstacles and hardships in life. People who worship Shiva recite this hymn during festivals with utmost devotion.

- Kahat Ayodhya Das Tum Dev Abhaya Varadan
Glory to Lord Ganesh, who is the divine son of Goddess Girija and the source of all auspicious times or beginnings and intelligence. Ayodhya Das (the composer), with all respects, requests you to bless us with a boon that ends all the fears in us.
